Much has been said about “Education 3.0”, in which students must produce knowledge together with their teachers, be curious and creative. However, if we look at how students are learning in most schools today, we can see that the educational system is still at the time of the Industrial Revolution, when everyone worked together but isolated on their machines. The classrooms are no different, the students are still sitting in a row doing the same activity, but alone, and the teacher is the knowledge owner. Because it was believed that Information and Communication Technology (ICDT) would break physical barriers to strengthen learning (National Curriculum Parameters, 2000), in the late 1970s the government started to worry about doing studies to introduce computers in education, and at the beginning of the 1980s to develop educational computing policy. By means of the Basic Education Chamber  (CEB) and National Council of Education / Full Council (CNE/CP), it was defined that learning how to use ICDT in education should be considered a competence to be acquired by teachers already in initial training in undergraduate courses, all over Brazil. However, a lot of universities do not prioritize this curricular component in their curricular structures. Thus, we can verify that there is still a deficit in the introduction of these technologies in teachers’ initial formation. To remedy this gap, the National Education Plan in four of its goals guarantees the training of 50% of basic education teachers at postgraduate level and continuing education. In spite of all the investment made by the government with the view that it would help the teacher by making their classes richer and would broaden the way the subjects would be treated, we can verify through research carried out by Inep that the results in mathematics classes in the Northeast region, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte are not corresponding to the investments made. In the local reality where the research is being conducted is not very different, since almost 50% of the students find themselves with the grade below the average of the school in mathematics, in the 5th year of elementary school. Considering what has been researched and accepting the use of the maker culture positive for the construction of knowledge in the student teaching and learning process, this work intends to indicate a path to integrate this culture with the classes of mathematics developed with the students in the Initial Years of Fundamental Teaching, and its general objective is to create a didactic series based on the new possibilities of the use of Technology in education through the development of the maker culture in order to apply in the mathematics classes in the 5th year of the initial years of fundamental teaching. The work methodology will be based on the exploratory research, which in the first stage a study of the object will be done, so as to allow its ample and detailed knowledge, so that the researcher becomes more familiar with the problem of the analyze. In the second stage, didactic sequences will be developed with the use of technologies and maker culture, along with the teachers, so that they apply in their classes. Then, the third step will be accomplished through the method of observation and records of how this application with didactic sequences built collaboratively was. With this, it is expected that there will be a better understanding of the contents by the students since, according to Papert (2008), the overvaluation of the abstract is still a serious impediment for education to advance.
