RESUMO:

The Information and Communication Digital Technologies (ICDT) has expanded the ways of education and its research possibilities in the construction of knowledge. The society evolves, customs change, social practices are influenced by the advancement of technologies, and in education this could not be different, given that educational scenarios are built to attend people's needs, so that they create, innovate, share, produce knowledge, developing and utilizing distinct skills and abilities through education. When dealing with these needs, it is necessary to consider not only the difficulties of access to the technologies due to economic, social and cultural issues, but also those caused by physical and attitudinal barriers experienced by People with Disabilities (PwD), making this people lacking accessibility features in many of their everyday activities and educational practices. Considering it is not permissible to discriminate against any person based on their disability status, it is necessary to think of inclusive solutions, also in the context of Distance Education (DE). The promotion of inclusive education in DE is a challenge that presupposes knowing ways to make it feasible, given that this modality uses digital materials continuously and all types of digital media, in different degrees of interactivity. Seeking to contribute to inclusive distance education and with the aim of subsidizing educators, in their respective areas of knowledge, and other people interested in elaborating educational contents that contemplate the needs of the PwD, particularly the visually impaired, this master's research seeks to delineate pedagogical and technological guidelines that can be used for the construction of educational contents that are feasible in an accessible way, through the proposition of a Guide for the Production of Acessible Online Materials. Therefore, throughout the research, we sought to know which deficiencies were reported by UFRN students to CAENE, where we found that visual impairment was the highest incidence reported between the years of 2016 and 2017. It is part of this work proposal to identify in which courses these students are, bring them as subjects of the research, within the scope of the needs they feel in relation to the didactic materials that they use in the daily life, their fragilities and needs of adequacy, with respect to the adaptation of these to be more accessible. Based on the contribution of these subjects, by means of interviews and questionnaires, based also on the elaboration of the guide in the concept of Design Thinking, we will seek to have a more exact dimension of what adjustments should be made so that a material can be considered accessible, specifically for the visually impaired.
