Faced with the expansion of the use of digital technologies, it is essential to think about the modification of the traditional model of education, adapting the process to the emergence of new technologies. The use of portable devices allows quick access to relevant information, at any time, adjusting the study time to the routine and need of the individual. In this context, health professionals have increasingly used and valued digital technological resources as a potential instrument in the permanent search for updating their knowledge and improving their competencies. Thus, in the face of evidence attesting to the deficiency in the training of these professionals in the area of hemotherapy, the need to make use of technology to improve the development of this practice that is so important for public health is glimpsed. This study aims to evaluate the contribution of a didactic material, available in a distance course, for the teaching of skills in hemotherapy for the nursing team of a university hospital in northeastern Brazil. An exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach, with Contextualized Instructional Design as a theoretical and methodological framework, being developed in five phases: analysis (definition of the theme, survey of relevant literature), design and development (definition of teaching strategies and media, (presentation of the course and suitability for release in the platform) and evaluation (validation of the specialists and evaluation of the contribution to the learning process). It is hoped that the use of the didactic material can generate a significant contribution in the teaching of the hemotherapy practice; that from the interaction with the media resources, professionals can develop a more active and dynamic learning process, based on autonomous teaching, contributing to the development of a more safe and responsible hemotherapy practice. It is also expected to have repercussion in the academic area, contributing to the graduation of undergraduate students, improving the knowledge and professional practice of its users.
