SUMMARY:

The present work aims to propose and develop the prototype of a fixed wing micro UAV that can operate remotely controlled or autonomously, and that is of low risk to people and facilities. The prototype has a weight limited to 250g, taking into consideration the restrictions rules of the categories defined by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), and with wingspan between 0.20m and 0.30m. To this end, the methodology used involves experimental research with aerodynamic analysis of profiles and wings, propulsion systems, structural analysis, and the development of the autonomous system using open source hardware and software. To date, experimental tests and simulations have been performed to evaluate the proposed system, resulting in 9 prototypes, all radio controlled, for preliminary data acquisition. Studies conducted so far indicate that the resulting product must meet the restrictions imposed on the work.
