RESUMO:

Within the current techniques of process control there is auto tuning method, a feature present in most industrial plant controllers, where the control parameters are adjusted automatically according to the process performance objectives. In this work, it is proposed a process of adjustment of a PID controller of a PLC using a method of auto tuning aimed at the robustness of the system, through the analysis in the frequency domain. The method involves the adaptation of existing processes aimed at the PI control, seeking to include a derivative term in order to increase the gain and phase margins, without generating significant losses in the time domain performance. Also, adaptations are proposed to perform parameter readjustments in PI controllers, looking for a greater robustness of the system. Initially, the process is simulated by determining the gain and phase margins of the system and then analyzing specific points of the Nyquist curve to stipulate parameters that change the original terms of the controller. Results are presented comparing the performance of the proposed systems with the original controller and with already existing PI controllers, in order to enable future configuration in a PLC.
