RESUMO:

The induction machine is the most used machine for electric drives. Low cost, construction simplicity and reliability are the motives that explains this statement. Nowadays, this machine is also highlighting for it's applicability in the automotive area, with the electric vehicle ascension. From this motivation, the main objective of this work is to apply an intelligent sensorless speed control to a induction machine. The proposal of this work is to use a artificial neural network to predict the machine rotor speed, from voltages and currents that feed it. In the speed control will be used a fuzzy controller that, being nonlinear and model-free dependent from the system, becomes more efficient than the traditional controllers in speed control. This text presents preliminary computational simulation results of the machine model, speed prediction and control strategies.
