RESUMO:

The Corrective Switching technique is currently on expansion, due to its operating characteristics, application diversity and relative simplicity of implementation in real networks. In this sense, it is fundamental to know the influence of this technique on the reliability of an electric power system in contingency situations. Thus, this work is a progressive study in which, from the execution of a variant of corrective switch, it is questioned whether the effect of that variant for a certain contingency was better or worse, in terms of reliability, or if one had better not to execute it. It can be emphasized that the main objective will not necessarily to eliminate a certain overload, but rather don't cause other contingencies or overloads that did not exist before the execution of the switching variant. An alternative solution to the above problem is the development of a deterministic algorithm that can be applied online and minimize the simulation time needed to find a feasible solution. Subsequently, it is intended to evaluate, for the main contingency cases, the best switching variants obtained through the Corrective Switching technique in Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) equipment. These alternatives are the ideas proposed for this thesis.

In this qualification, the initial stages of the development of this thesis are presented. Thus, there is a deterministic method that proposes to compare the results obtained from the execution of a Relief Function applied to the technique of Corrective Switchings in situations of contingency with the results of tests of exact load flow for a transmission system . This Relief Function has been determined analytically and has its origin in the study of quadripoles. In the studies carried out throughout this research, the contingencies were created from line disconnections in the studied transmission system - this change caused a single branch overload in the electric network. Through the method proposed in this work, it is desired that the presented approach can, in the future and following the same line of reasoning developed here, lead to Relief Functions involving hexapólos and multiple overloads, in order to take into account the influence of the variant of Switching in different branches of the overloaded and allow a broader study regarding the reliability of the network due to the execution of the Corrective Switching technique
