SUMMARY:

The study aimed to develop and validate the content of podcasts on the physiological changes of pregnancy and the stages of embryonic and fetal human development. This is a methodological study.  The following steps followed: definition of the set of objectives for the podcast; review of the scientific literature; planning and preparation of the podcast; construction of the podcast; validation of the podcast content.  The podcast was titled: "I'm pregnant, what's going to happen to me and my baby?".  Fhi organized on two fronts. Front one, composed of twenty-novand items, addresses the aspects relatedto s phases of human and embryonic development. Front two, composed of ten items, addresses the aspects related to physiological changes in pregnancy.  Eleven judges, with different expertise, participaram of the process of validation of the content of the podcast.  The items were validated for objectivity, clarity, and relevance. For validation, the Content Validity Index was adopted. To be validated, each item had to reach the agreement of 0.80. The study was submitted and approved by the Research Ethics Committee. Regarding the profile of the judges, we have that the average age was 36 years. Regarding the time of professional practice, the average was 8.6 years. The majority are female (81.8%), as predominant lytrained areas of Nursing and Biological Sciences (27.3%), with doctorates (72.7%), with more than one professional occupation (63.6%). In the first evaluation round, 28 items were validated with CVI > 0.80. In part two, 9 items were validated with CVI > 0.80. Two items did not reach the expected agreement. Therefore, a second round of evaluation was initiated. After this step, the audios will be recorded and made available to health professionals and pregnant women.
