SUMMARY:

The need for changes in schooling made it possible to use new ways of teaching and learning more in tune with the demands of society. In the Brazilian context, with the implementation of the National Curricular Guidelines - DCNs, Active Teaching-Learning Methodologies have been adopted, in line with the DCNs, so that there is the active participation of the student and he can become protagonist in the construction of his knowledge. For this, the preceptor emerges in an essential role in this process, being the professional who works within the environment of assistance in health services, also turning it into a teaching environment for professional practice, acting in the guidance and supervision of students' practical activities. Thus, the objective of this study is to identify the concepts and practices of preceptors about the use of active teaching-learning methodologies in the context of health preceptorship linked to the Multicampi School of Medical Sciences in Rio Grande do Norte. Study with a qualitative methodological approach, of the exploratory-descriptive type, developed with the preceptors linked to the EMCM / RN master's degree, with the data collection performed through an online form, where the data analysis was done through the Discourse of the Collective Subject - DSC . For the aforementioned data analysis, the following steps were taken: 1) obtaining the answers through the questionnaire; 2) then the phase of transcribing and clarifying the text of the answers, in order to reduce the discourse; 3) identify the central ideas and extract the key expressions from the testimonies; 4) do the categorization, identifying similar Core Ideas; and finally, 5) to elaborate a single speech, adding the phrases of the Central Ideas and forming the Collective Subject Speech. The results of this study allowed us to realize that the active methodologies enable an excellent articulation between the daily experiences lived in the practice of services, and education based on the construction of knowledge, in an inter-relationship established between the preceptors and the students. For that, it is necessary that you know and make use of different ways to facilitate knowledge. In addition, we can consider that Active Methodologies present the possibility to build new ways of conducting health training, as it is a possible instrument to overcome traditional teaching models. It is hoped that the reflections presented here will allow the construction and expansion of new concepts and elements that surround teaching strategies, and the complex training of health professionals.
