RESUMO:

The study of stress has been increasing in recent years, especially in the organizational sector. It is known that people dealing with psychiatric patients are subjected to a daily stress load. There are two public services that work with mental health (CAPS III and CAPS AD) in Caicó city. The objective of this research was to study the prevalence of stress symptoms in professionals working in mental health, in order to sensitize the management of these professionals. A questionnaire and the inventory of LIPP stress symptoms were used in each of the professionals who accepted to participate in this study, which revealed that 70% of these employees had symptoms of stress.
