SUMMARY:

Introduction: Endometriosis is a chronic and progressive disease, characterized by growth of endometrial tissue outside the uterine cavity, which can cause several symptoms in patients with this disease. Changes in the sexual function of these women are one of them. Objectives: To evaluate the effects of pelvic kinesiotherapy on dyspareunia in women with endometriosis and to evaluate the effects of pelvic kinesiotherapy on functionality, global sexual function, quality of life and PFM parameters (strength and relaxation) in women with endometriosis. Methodology: This study will deal with a randomized clinical trial research, being included in the study women aged between 18 and 40 years, with a clinical diagnosis of endometriosis in a report and who self-report the presence of dyspareunia and should not be submitted to another type of treatment for endometriosis-related dyspareunia, then 64 participants will be randomized into 2 groups (Control Group, GC=32 that will undergo a pelvic kinesiotherapy protocol and Experimental Group, EG=32 that will follow the treatment commonly prescribed by their physician). A self-assessment questionnaire, Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI), WHODAS, Pain Analogue Scale (EVA), WHOQOL-BREF and PERFECT will be applied before and after the completion of the intervention and analysis of variance will be used for data analysis ( ANOVA - 2 groups x 2 measurement moments). If the assumption of equality of variances is reached, the Welch correction will be used. Expected results: We hope that at the end of the study, we will be able to achieve significant results in the treatment of dyspareunia in women with endometriosis from pelvic kinesiotherapy.
