RESUMO:

Introduction: The senescence process is characterized by the decline in adaptive response required for life activities, physiological changes related to aging such as loss of balance, gait changes, proprioceptive and cognitive changes are cited with strong relation to the high prevalence off alls in seniors. The dual task consists in the accomplishment of a competing primary task with a secondary task. Some studies haves a reduction in performance on theprimary, secondary, or both in the elderly. Other studies report that training interference with dual task positively interfere with physical functioning such as postural control and gait. Objective: To investigate the immediate interference of a protocol with different cognitive-motor and motor-motor tasks on the balance of healthy elderly individuals with mild cognitive impairment. Methods: Thi sis a cross-sectional, experimental and quantitative study. The sample consisted of 80 elderly people divided into groups of elderly people with mild cognitive impairment (n = 40) who will perform the dual task protocol, and healthy elderly (n = 40), where 20 of them will perform the dual task protocol and 20 will perform activities without cognitive interference. A questionnaire will be applied for sociodemographic characterization, specific instruments and evaluation in the force platform. After the application of a single intervention protocol 40 minutes, the subjects will be reevaluated in the force platform. Expected results: It is expected that the training protocol with double task conditions will cause interference in mobility, performance and postural control in healthy elderly and with mild cognitive impairment. It is expected to find correlations between the clinical variables of mobility and performance and in the measurements of postural control under dual task conditions in healthy and CCL elderly.
