Carlos Eduardo da Silva is a Lecturer at the Metropole Digital Institute at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN).
He received a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK. He was a research associate at the Information Systems Security Group (ISSG) at the University of Kent, working at the FP7 TAS3 project on the topics of federated identity management and privilege delegation.
Conducted research in software self-adaptation and process generation, security and acess control infrastructure with focus on federated identity management and delegation of privileges.
He is one of the leaders of the cloud computing for science (CNC) work group of the Brazilian National Research and Education Network (RNP), which deployed a large scale cloud storage platform throughout Brazil, being responsible for the aspects related to its integration with the Brazilian academic federation.
