Isís: Ophthalmologic Diagnosis by Retinography Images Using Methods Based on Deep Learning
Eye Disease. Retinography. Deep Learning. Computer-aided detection (CADe). Diagnosis System (CADx)
Retinal images plays an important role in the diagnosis of ocular disease, such as diabetic retinopathy, maculopathy and glaucoma. Retinography is an imaging exam that photographs the areas of the fundus of the eye, such as the retina, choroid, optic nerve, and blood vessels. In this sense, the present work is based on the hypothesis that the development of a Computer Assisted Detection (CADe) system, which allows a reliable level of accuracy and accuracy of the analyzes performed, can assist the physician in the evaluation of the exams, the work process of said professional. CADe aims to improve the accuracy of the diagnosis, as well as the consistency of image interpretation, by using the computer response as a reference. In this way, the objective of this work is to use the deep learning methodology for the development of a computational tool to aid the diagnosis of ocular diseases, through the analysis of the retinography images.
