RESUMO:

Abstract: Rumex Acetosa is a species rich in phenolic compounds, whose roots have been increasingly used in pharmacological applications. In this work, root extracts of Rumex Acetosa were obtained from supercritical fluid extraction (SFE), Soxhlet and Low Pressure Solvent Extraction (LPSE) techniques. In the SFE extraction, it was evaluated at the moment of the process variables, on the extraction kinetics, yield and solubility of the extract. In the Soxhlet extraction the use of four solvents (Ethanol, Acetonitrile, Isopropanol and Butyl Alcohol) was evaluated, whereas in the LPSE extraction the Ethanol was used as solvent. The total phenolic content, the antioxidant capacity of the extracts and the main components of the extract were determined. The yields ranged from 0.2 to 8.3%, the best result obtained in the Soxhlet extraction using ethanol as the solvent. However, an SFE extraction demonstrated excellent efficacy in extracting phenolic compounds (anthraquinones and stilbenes). The concentration of Trans Resveratrol in the extracts ranged from 1.03 to 3.52 mg / g, depending on the technique used, being Acetronitrile (Soxhlet), the solvent with the highest extraction yield of this component. The antioxidant activity and total phenolic compounds resulted in values between 10.67 and 163.43 μg / mL and 27.63 and 157.04 mg EAG / g extract, respectively, depending on the technique used.
